Gerd Heidler

Gert Heidler ( born January 30, 1948 in Drauschkowitz, Upper Lusatia ) was soccer player in the GDR. He played for Dynamo Dresden in the Serie A, the top division of the East German Football Association. With Dynamo Dresden he was five times football champion and won three times the GDR football trophy. Heidler is twelve times the national team, in 1976 he won with the East German Olympic team gold medal in the Olympic football tournament. Later he worked as a football coach.

Football career

League players

Heidler began his football career at SG Dynamo in Bautzen, Bautzen and then played for forward came as a 18 -year-old to motor Bautzen, where he played one year in the second-rate DDR -Liga. It was his 267th league game within 14 hours (76% of total matches played ), but he had scored 49 goals.

International assignments

Immediately after Heidler had won in 1969 with Dynamo Dresden the Oberliga - rise, he was appointed to the Executive of the East German junior national team. On 21 October 1969 he played his first junior international match in Hall against Czechoslovakia. In the 3-0 win, he played on the right wing. In 1974 he was with the youth team vice European champion after the two finals against Hungary (3:2, 0:4 ). Until 1974, he came in 23 junior internationals for use and scoring seven goals.

18 months after his last junior international match was Heidler on November 19, 1975 in his first senior international game on the court.
