Gerd Riss

Gerd Riss ( born March 17, 1965) is a former German motorcycle racer, who was active on the dirt track on both the short-range ( Speedway ) and on the long-distance ( long course ).

Career

In 1981 Gerd crack in Krumbach with motorsport. During his playing days, he started in the Speedway for the MSC Diedenbergen and on the long course for the Motorsport Association Herxheim.

Eight times (1991, 1996, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2009), he managed to win the world title on the long course. Eleven times (1988, 1991, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2004, 2007 and 2009 ), he became German champion on the long course, five times (1986, 1991, 1992, 1994 and 1996 ) German Champion in Speedway. He was also in 2007, 2008 and 2009 with the German national team world champion on the long course.
