Gerd Wimmer

Gerd Wimmer (born 9 January 1977 in Laa an der Thaya ) is a retired Austrian footballer.

Career

Wimmer's first stop was his master and home-town club SV Laa an der Thaya. About Laa an der Thaya, we went for the first professional club SK Sturm Graz. Wimmer was repeatedly made ​​under Ivica Osim fit with brief appearances for the Austrian Bundesliga. 1995 he moved for the first time in the southern part to VfB Admira Wacker Mödling. Wimmer played five times for the Austrian national team. He made his debut on 18 August 1999 at the 0-0 draw against Sweden in Malmö. On 18 April 2006, the 29 -year-old firebrand summarized from the record fine of 12 -match suspension after he had attacked the assistant coach of Wacker Tirol Klaus Vogler after the game.
