Gerhard Waibel (motorcyclist)
Gerhard Waibel ( born December 17, 1958) is a former German motorcycle racer who was in the 1980s in the small class ( only up to 50 cc, and later to 80 cc ) successfully.
Waibel was five time German champion, won four Grand Prix races and finished second two and five third places. In the motorcycle world championship Waibel was in third place after three fifth places ( 1984-1986 ) in 1987.
His brother Alfred Waibel (* August 4, 1957 ) was also motorcycle racer and 1979 to 1988 six times German champion in the 125 cc class.
