Gerhard Zadrobilek

Gerhard Zadrobilek ( born June 23, 1961 in Breitenfort, Lower Austria ) is an Austrian former professional cyclist.

In 1981, he was 19 years old until now the youngest winner of the Tour of Austria. This was followed by 14 professional years. As highlights of his career, the participations in the grand tours, namely six times Giro d'Italia and Tour de France three times should be mentioned. He reached in the Tour de France in 1987 as his best finish on the 14th Place. In 1989, he surprised the experts by winning the World Cup race in San Sebastian. In 1991 he moved from the professional road cycling to mountain biking, World Cup victories in Germany and Canada followed. Zadrobilek is the first cyclist in the world, each won a road and a mountain bike World Cup races.

After the active sports career, he is now a recognized business trainer, farmer and author, he lives in the Vienna Woods.
