Gerhard Zemann

Gerhard Zemann ( born March 21, 1940 in Vienna, † April 14, 2010 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian actor.

Biography

Gerhard Zemann was formed at the Salzburg Mozarteum, the director and actor and worked later as a drama teacher. He made his debut at the Salzburg State Theater. Engagements at various German theaters followed. Zemann also starred in television series such as Monaco Franze, the caretaker and Peter and Paul. In the movie Caracas, in 1989 won the " Prix de la Jeunesse " in Cannes 1990 and the Max Ophüls Prize was given, he played the lead role. As a pathologist, Dr. Leo Graf Zemann stood for 118 episodes of the TV crime series Inspector Rex in front of the camera. He also starred in numerous productions by Reinhard Schwabenitzky, so among other things, on the hit series topless.

Zemann was also the founder of the Salzburg political cabaret " The border crossers".

Gerhard Zemann died in the night of 14 April 2010 of a heart attack and was buried in the municipal cemetery in Salzburg.
