Gerino Gerini

Gerino Gerini ( born August 10, 1928 in Rome, † April 17, 2013 in Cremona ) was an Italian former racing driver.

As a close friend Jean Behras he could afford a private Maserati 250F 1956 Officine Alfieri Maserati of. He was able to achieve at the Grand Prix of Argentina in Buenos Aires, when he single-seater with the Brazilian pilots Chico Landi shared and achieved a fourth place His best finish in the Formula 1 season 1956.

The notorious chain smoker Gerini only returned two years later to a few races in the Formula 1 circus back. His car, however, was now technically obsolete and allowed him no more presentable results, so he said goodbye to the motorsport.

Then he climbed into the car trade; he opened Lamborghini branches in Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland, and lives up to his death at his home in Florence.
