German Armed Forces Deployment Medal

The use of the Bundeswehr medal is awarded to German and foreign military personnel. The coin has a diameter of 35 mm and on the obverse is the federal eagle in a stylized laurel wreath. The back is free. The medal is worn on a 30 mm wide band, which consists of a red base band with black, red and gold edge trim.

Formation

The endowed on 25 April 1996 medal was awarded first and only time retroactively on 26 June 1996 for use abroad within the framework of the UN contingent of the UN Protection Force in Croatia ( UNPF ) by the Federal Minister of Defense Volker Ruhe. The medal is awarded in a single embossing in the execution in bronze, silver or gold and differs only in the use designation on the same color clasp to the medal ( see list below). The silver and gold version of the coin was founded on 28 January 2003. Ceremony practice

Carrying method
