The Hockey Museum ( also Hockey Hall of Fame Germany ) in Augsburg provides various exhibits of famous hockey players at home and abroad, such as the estate of Gustav Jaenecke and it leads to the Hall of Fame Germany, the players, referees, coaches, officials and journalists are taken.

History

It was founded in 1988 due to an idea by Otto Wanner, the then - President Deb. After a long period in which the pieces of the museum were exhibited in different places, it took place in 1999 his final place in Augsburg.

At the suggestion of the IIHF Director Roman Neumayer this, the club hockey museum was founded in Augsburg eV. President of the association was Horst Eckert, Vice President Walter Neumann. Current president is Gottfried Neumann.

The museum had to be closed in 2012 because the building is refurbished.
