German Olympic Decoration

The Olympic Honour was founded by the decree of the Fuehrer and Chancellor Adolf Hitler on February 4, 1936 ( Reich Law Gazette I 51 ) as a special award for achievements in the realization of the Olympic Games in 1936 and transferred for services to the Germany summer and awarded Winter Games.

Appearance

The Olympic Honour is an existing five beams, white enamelled, goldumrandeter star, which is interrupted by five golden geriften rays. The center of the star bears the five Olympic rings. With the decree of July 31, 1936 ( Reich Law Gazette I 577 ) was in addition to the Olympic Honour a commemorative medal for the 1936 Olympic Games, the Olympic commemorative medal, donated.
