German Pellets
The German Pellets GmbH is the world's largest producer and distributor of wood pellets. The German company was founded in Wismar in 2005 and has a production capacity of around 2.2 million tonnes of pellets per year (as of August 2013). The group also has, among others, the German Horse Pellets GmbH, the German Pellets GmbH heat and the German Pellets GmbH participation rights. It includes the subsidiary companies FireStixx wood energy GmbH and the Austrian Hot'ts / Glechner group to group.

History
The first plant and the headquarters of the German Pellets GmbH was created in 2005 in the so-called Holzcluster Wismar with direct access to the sea port. Meanwhile, the company manufactures in 19 locations in Germany, Austria and the U.S. wood pellets and animal bedding products. The company has established sales organization in several European countries.
Business
German Pellets Wood pellets produced different qualities for small furnaces such as pellet and pellet stoves, industrial boilers for heat supply in residential, industrial, commercial and municipalities and for (heating ) power plants. In addition, German Pellets is a manufacturer of animal bedding wood-based products. As contractor designs, builds and operates the affiliate, German Pellets GmbH heat pellet heating systems for large consumers such as schools, hospitals, housing, commercial and industrial. German Pellets produced at some sites green electricity in combined heat and power plants. With participation rights German Pellets also offers investments in the field of renewable energy.
Preparation of pellets
The basic raw materials - sawdust, wood chips, off-cuts and logs - are ground to a uniform particle size (span ) and dried. The mass is pressed under high pressure through steel dies. The wood lignin makes its own as a binder for the strength of the pellets. Wood pellets are a standardized product with defined characteristics in terms of size, shape and ingredients.
Pellet quality
German Pellets brings both to the standards DINplus and / or ENplus A1 certified pellets on the market as well as industrial pellets. With "Power Plus" German Pellets offers a controversial technical point of additional methods for wood pellets that will have a positive impact on the quality of the pellets.

Pellet sales
German Pellets sells wood pellets in Europe through an extensive dealer network. In Germany, approximately 100 fuel dealers offer pellets of German pellets.

German Horse Pellets GmbH
The German Horse Pellets GmbH was founded in 2008 and specializes in the development and distribution of natural animal bedding products.
The bedding products (chips, granules and pellets) for horses, large animals and small animals are produced in the production sites Wismar ( Mecklenburg- Vorpommern) and Wilburgstetten ( Bavaria). The products are based on natural raw materials and processed without the addition of additives.
The German Horse Pellets GmbH is also involved in equestrian sport. In October 2009, the Riding Club RV German Horse Pellets eV was founded. Since 2010 there is the German Horse Pellets Tour - Jumping on a S- level for performance class 2 and 3 in the 17 country rider associations in Germany. The German Horse Pellets GmbH cooperates with numerous athletes and clubs in the riding scene, is the main sponsor of Andre Thieme and Hans- Dieter Dreher and official shavings supplier of German Olympic Equestrian Committee, briefly DOKR.
German Pellets GmbH heat
The German Pellets heat provides heat for complete packages. As contractor designs, builds and finances the German pellet heat thus all measures which are necessary for the reconstruction, the establishment or construction of a wood pellet power plant. Commissioning and operation of the plant are also included, such as the maintenance and services. The customer pays for the removed heat price. German Pellets Heat is a joint venture of German Pellets GmbH and GETEC AG.
German Pellets GmbH participation rights
The German Pellets Group has been active since 2010 in the capital market. About the German Pellets GmbH offers participation rights at the pellet producer private investors to invest in wood pellets as an investment. The interest rate on participation rights of German Pellets is 8% pa ( depending on results ). The minimum subscription amount is EUR 2,500. 2013, the company paid for the third time in a row from the prospectus interest rate. FireStixx wood energy GmbH
