Doping problem

In response to the advance of Ines Geipel, which allowed underline its name from the German club record for the 4 x 100 relay team because of their involuntary involvement in the doping system of the GDR, extended the DLV 2006 its official statistics to a preamble:

" In the following record list are based on current knowledge, some record holder on suspicion of having violated during their sporting career performance against the anti-doping rules. In addition, a portion of the records was achieved on the basis of forced doping and doping in the form of criminal -related injury. [ ... ] A deletion of such records is not possible for legal reasons. "

The sources of the organization refers among other things to the book doping. Was reconstructed from research fraud by Brigitte Berendonk (1991 ), in which the state-organized doping in the GDR on the basis of dissertations and Stasi files, as well as the 2006 published work doping in elite sport by Andreas Singler and Gerhard Treutlein, which also the forms of time equal to that applied in the Federal Republic of doping were documented using the example of athletics and other sports.

The view of the DLV, the deletion of drug- loaded records is not legally possible in 2007 contradicted the Sportrechtler Christoph tyrant and Marius Breucker in a report. The then chairman of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA ) Richard Pound shared this view.

2010 placed Gesine Walther (now Tettenborn ) remove their names from the 4 x 400 - meter relay record, because he had come into existence by means of doping. In an interview, she said, she would have to tolerate that her name is listed there, they would be " responsible for it when young athletes take drugs because they are motivated to break that record ."
