German Research Institute for Public Administration

The German Research Institute for Public Administration (FÖV ) in Speyer is a non-university research institution with the statutory task of research in the field of administrative sciences, particularly in the context of interdisciplinary research projects, with special emphasis on practical tasks and needs of the public administration.

The FÖV is a member of the Leibniz Association and has a lively international exchange with researchers and research institutions from around the world. The Director of FÖV is the legal scholar Prof. Jan Ziekow.

The budget of the FÖV, 2012 about 2.43 million euros, is 50% funded by the Federal Republic and 50% of the countries. The FÖV has the legal form of an institution under public law.

The ordinary members of FÖV, many of them professors at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer, represented different subjects of law (eg, European Law, Public Law, Planning Law ), in economics, the social sciences (eg, political science, sociology, management history, organizational psychology ), the management science in the strict sense (eg, comparative management science ) and to make their disciplines for the understanding and exploration of state and administration fruitful in each case the knowledge and methods.

Legal bases of FÖV are the § § 67-70 DHVG, the State Ordinance on the German Research Institute for Public Administration of 15 June 2012 ( GVBl. RLP, 213) and the Institute of Procedure of the Research Institute for Public Administration at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer.

Building

The building of the FÖV stands on the campus of the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer at the Freiherr- vom-Stein -Str. 2, Speyer west in the second row behind the building complex by Sep Ruf. The stairway was built in 1984 as an add to the Chair of the University building office building is decorated with frescoes by Paul in Eicken.
