German Solar Industry Association

The German Solar Industry Association (BSW ) is a community of interest of approximately 1,000 companies in the solar technology in the fields of production, trade and craft based in Berlin.

The association supports its members in legal matters, information on funding and is committed to the creation and securing appropriate policy framework. Goal is the rapid market introduction of solar energy in the fields of electricity and heat as well as their fastest possible competitiveness with others, especially fossil fuels.

According to the company, the association is trying to ensure a positive company and industry image and would like to provide its members with market advantages through superior knowledge. To this end, he consistently posts publications on internal market data, trade information, studies and sales recommendations. Published every year about 1000 publications of the Association.

The Federal Solar Industry Association initiated the action " Week of the Sun ", which is the largest solar campaign in Germany by its own account. Supported by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety presented the BSW comprehensive information on more than 5000 events in Germany in the year 2009.
