German Squash Association

The German Squash Federation eV ( DSQV ) is the body responsible for the sport of squash association in the German Olympic Sports Confederation ( DOSB).

History

The association was founded in 1973 in the city of Hamburg. The office is based in Bocholt and is an umbrella organization of 12 national associations. Current president is Wolfgang Bauriedel. At a general meeting in 2006 the original name, German Squash Rackets and was ( DSRV ) modified association in the now current name.

Federal Executive

The German national squash the men, women and youth are cared for and trained by former professional players Oliver Pettke the time.

International Competitions

The German Squash Federation has already been the host of international competitions such as the European and World Championships. At the European Team Championships in Munich in 1983, 1993 in Gelsenkirchen, 2002 in Böblingen and 2012 in Nuremberg DSQV was the organizer, and at the European Championships in 2010 in Saarbrücken single. Team World Championships were held so far in 1998 in Stuttgart with the ladies and in 2011 in Paderborn in the men. Similarly, the World Championships in the men's single in 1983 and the Women was held in Germany in 1998. The latter was played in Stuttgart.
