GermaNet

GermaNet is operated by the University of Tübingen machine-readable lexical- semantic network of the German language. Part of it is integrated into EuroWordNet, which connects the word networks of several European languages ​​over a interlingual index together.

Temporal classification

GermaNet is based on the approach of WordNet, which was started in 1985 by Princeton University. It originated as GermaNet I in 1996 and 1997, around the same time as I EuroWordNet, which was from 1997 to 1999 developed into EuroWordNet II GermaNet until now maintained as monolingual lexical resource and expanded.
