Germania Gladbeck

The DJK Germania Gladbeck (according to the Register of Associations: German youth force Germania Gladbeck ) was established in 1923 multisport club based in Gladbeck. Their home games wearing the football department DJK Germania Gladbeck on the sports field Kruse Kamp.

History

With the runner-up of the federation League Westphalia and the associated rise in the Oberliga Westfalen in 2007, the club won its greatest success. As a seventh in the league the following season the team was sporting qualified for the newly created NRW-Liga. However, the necessary license by the West German Football and Athletics Association was denied because records were incomplete submitted.

At the end of the season 2008/2009 the DJK Germania Gladbeck dismounted from the Westphalia league. Then was informed in July 2009 that the team is withdrawn from the national league. On game operation of the 2009/2010 season the DJK Germania Gladbeck in the county league C Group 3 participated with a newly formed team II.

The financial situation did not calm down despite drastic measures. In January 2010, the application was made for the opening of insolvency proceedings. In February 2010, the association was due to outstanding payments from football and athletics - Westfalen ( FLVW ) by the Association and thus excluded from the game. Members of the football division of the DJK Germania Gladbeck were forced to take measures to ensure that the football would be retained at the location in the sequence.
