Germans of Kazakhstan

Kasachstandeutsche are a German minority in Kazakhstan.

History

In 1895 there were already first German offices in the area around Akmolinsk. The ancestors of the Kasachstandeutschen were forcibly relocated after the dissolution of the Volga German Republic on 28 August 1941, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR. From that time it was denied to the Germans from Russia to study in the USSR, their mother tongue to speak in public and to exercise specific professions.
