Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 1956

The rules for the first Euro Vision Song Contest 1956 stipulated that in each participating country, a preliminary decision had to be discharged. This was provided in Germany on 1 May 1956 in Cologne. However, none of the performers listed on the participant list can remind you of the event; a singer can even verify that she had an appearance in Berlin earlier that evening. Also no records such as reports from newspapers or magazines are available. It can be assumed that the preliminary decision was recognized only pro forma, to meet the regulations, but has never taken place.

Other sources claim a corresponding event.

Germany's representative at the international competition were Walter Andreas Schwarz with in the waiting room to the great happiness and Freddy Quinn with how it is every night.
