Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 1958

The German preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest 1958 took place on January 20, 1958 in the small Westfalenhalle in Dortmund. It was produced by WDR.

Twelve artists, selected by six national broadcasters face competition presented.

Was won the competition as last year by Margot Hielscher, this time with the song Music for two pence. She received ten votes. The music was by Friedrich Meyer, the former husband of Margot Hielscher, and the text of Fred Rauch and Walter Brandin. Lale Andersen finished with the song The Bride of the Seven Seas the second place. Two other songs were three doors down and a bit of soft music; they are the interpreters but not assign. The other titles of the songs and the other finishes are not documented.

Margot Hielscher achieved seventh place at the Euro Vision Song Contest in Hilversum, the Netherlands.
