Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 1994

In 1994 there was no public German preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest under its own television show. ARD gave the composer and lyricist team Ralph Siegel and Bernd Meinunger order for a song competition. As a performer was compiled from these purpose the girl group Mekado. The name was derived from the first names of the three singers Melanie Bender, Kati Karney and Dorcas jaw.

The song We give 'ne Party was presented in Germany on 21 March 1994 as part of the television show The Golden One.

When Euro Vision Song Contest 1994 on 30 April 1994, Dublin ( Ireland), reached the third place this contribution, albeit at a considerable distance behind Ireland and Poland. For two countries, Romania and Hungary, Germany received the highest rating each with twelve points.
