Geroldswil

Geroldswil is a municipality in the district of the Canton of Zurich Dietikon in Switzerland.

The Gerold Wiler Coat of Arms was the first time to fire brigade buckets of 1834 and indicates the pressure exerted by the villagers salmon fishing in the River Limmat.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Limmat Valley at an altitude of 395 m above sea level. M., north adjacent to the Limmat River and extends up the southern slope of Altbergs, at whose foot the Wiesentäli is.

Approximately 26.7 % of the municipality is agricultural land, the larger forest areas on Altberg make 23.6 %, the water areas from 3.1%. As a settlement area 36.1% are ausgezont (of which 92.8 % overbuilt ), other 7.9% are used as traffic surfaces.

Neighboring municipalities are Oetwil am, wine rings and Dietikon.
