Gerry Conway (musician)

Gerry Conway ( born September 11, 1947 in King's Lynn, Norfolk ) is a British folk drummer.

1964 Conway began with Alexis Korner work. A year later he joined the band Eclection; it was followed by the folk rock band Fotheringay. In 1970 he participated in Steeleye Spans debut album with the drummer. By 1975, he then played in the backing band of Cat Stevens. In the early 1980s, Conway was a member of Jethro Tull, where he was a permanent member until 1982. However, he occasionally played still with the band. In 1990 he continued his career by Pentangle joined. Together with Jacqui McShee and Spencer Cozens 1994 he founded a folk-rock trio, from the Jacqui McShee 's Pentangle emerged. In 1998 he became the drummer for Fairport Convention.
