The Gersprenz is a good 51 km, with the Hauptquellast Mergbach 62 km long, arising in the Odenwald left tributary of the River Main in Hesse and Bavaria ( Germany ). She is a second-order and not navigable waters.

River

Your name leads the running in the Odenwald Gersprenz from the confluence of Mergbach and Osterbach at Reichel Home Bockenrod in about 200 m altitude. Since the Mergbach constitutes the main source river, its source at the Neunkircher height ( 605 m) (now Mergbach source) referred to the year 2013, as Gersprenz source.

The river was the now disused Gersprenz Talbahn the name. Through this pathway and also the disused railway line Dieburg - Great rooms - clean home, and the still operating range Darmstadt - Dieburg - Aschaffenburg all places on the Gersprenz each other were connected.
