Gertrud Bing

Gertrud Bing ( born June 7, 1892 in Hamburg, † July 3, 1964 in London) was a German art historian, philosopher and Director of the Institute.

Since 1921 /22, according to their philosophical doctorate at the University of Hamburg in Ernst Cassirer, an employee of Aby Warburg, whose collected works (1932), she edited since his death. Bing helped in 1933 to save the Warburg Library from the grasp of the Nazis to London.
