Geschendorf

Geschendorf is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geography

Geschendorf is located on the main highway 20 between the town of Bad Segeberg and the Hanseatic city of Lübeck in the parish Pronstorf. From 1916 to 1967 the station was Geschendorf Lübeck- Segeberger railroad.

History

Geschendorf was founded in the mid 12th century by settlers Westphalia. The place was first mentioned Civilitates in the civil role of Lübeck 1317. Until the secularization parts of the village were the Segeberger Augustinian monastery dutiable.

Economy and infrastructure

Geschendorf is connected via the motorway A20 to Lübeck and Bad Segeberg. The A20 is to Bad Segeberg already expanded from Lübeck.
