Stories übern garden fence and new übern garden fence was a television series of television of the GDR. It was broadcast in two seasons.
The setting is the fictional small garden plant " Ulenhorst " which comes through the influx of a divorced woman with four children in an uproar. The involved in a years time grid episodes tell of the interpersonal and neighborly relations as well as the small garden environment in very different facets.

Claudia Gallus, one of the two daughters of Jutta Fleck, played the role of Birgit Hoffmann in two seasons.
In the second season, the roles Claudia Schubert and Harry Hahn had to be filled, as the two original actors Monika Woytowicz and Bodo Wolf had gone to the West.
