Gesnerus

Gesnerus is a Swiss professional journal for the history of medicine and the natural sciences, published since 1943.

Gesnerus is the organ of the Swiss Society for the History of Medicine and Natural Sciences ( SGGMN ). It was published until 1998 in the publishing Sauerland in Aarau. Today they appear in Schwabe Verlag, Basel. Until 1988 the subtitle Vierteljahrsschrift was for the History of Medicine and the natural sciences. By 2009 Gesnerus appeared quarterly, semi-annually since 2010 ( in June and December).

Editors in chief are Vincent Barras and Hubert Steinke. The editors are members of Christian Bonah, Michael Hagner, Micheline Louis- Courvoisier, Francesco Panese, Iris Ritzmann, Hans K. dirt, Jakob Tanner and Daniela Vaj.
