Getinge Group

The Getinge AB is a global Swedish medical technology company. The company manufactures and sells medical devices and equipment for the health sector and the life sciences. The group is divided into three business areas: Infection Control ( Getinge ), Extended Care ( ArjoHuntleigh ) and Medical Systems ( MAQUET, the world's largest manufacturer of operating tables ). In 2008, the Freudenberg Group employed 11,604 workers. The company's CEO is Johan Malmquist and its chairman is Carl Bennet.

History

Getinge was founded in 1904 in Sweden. The company was bought in 1964 by Electrolux. In 1983, Electrolux the largest German manufacturer of equipment for disinfection, ZK Hospital, which was later merged with Getinge Arjo, 1989 it was acquired by Rune Andersson and Carl Bennet. Getinge's shares are listed on the OMX Nordic List of the Stockholm Stock Exchange since 1993 and since July 2009, part of the OMXS30 index.

In 1995, the merger with Arjo, 2002, the acquisition of Heraeus and 2007 took over from Huntleigh.2011 Getinge the U.S. company Atrium Medical.
