Getter Jaani

Getter Jaani ( born February 3, 1993, Tallinn) is an Estonian singer. She represented Estonia in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2011.

Life and Music

Getter Jaani graduated from high school at the Tallinn district Kristiine. She is currently studying at Tallinn Berufsschulzentrum shoe design. In addition, she has worked as a singer and actress.

In 2009, Jaani on the third season of Eesti otsib superstaari, the Estonian branch of the UK talent show Pop Idol, and became part of Fourth. In 2010 she played in the Estonian version of the high school musicals. In 2011 she was seen in the musical Verelegend.

26 February 2011 Getter Jaani was determined to Estonian participant of the 56th Euro Vision Song Contest 2011 in Dusseldorf, as they won the 2011 Eesti Laul. With her ​​song Rockefeller Street ( Words and music by Sven Lõhmus ) she counted among bookmakers in advance of the favorites of the event. On 12 May 2011 she interpreted the English-language title for the second ESC semi-final in Dusseldorf, after she reached the in the two days later held the final, where she finished in 24th place the penultimate place. 26 May 2012 Jaani awarded the Estonian vote points to Baku at the Euro Vision Song Contest in 2012.
