The Ghar -e- Roodafshan (Persian غار رودفشان Ghār -e Rudafschān, DMG Gar -e Rūdafšān ) is located east of Tehran in Rudafschān Valley and is since 2003 target of research cruises of the Association for caving in Upper Styria. Together with the association Chāneye Kuhnawardān -e Tehrān / خانهء کوهنوردان تهران worked on the survey of the cave (2003-2005).

The total length of this spacious cave is 1,502 m with a level difference of -90.6 m. The maximum Horizontalersteckung is 470 m. The N -S extension is 467 m. O- W - extension is 185 m. The Roodafshan Entrance Hall with 168 m length, 94 m width, a height of up to 40 meters and a floor area of ​​11,395 sqm currently the second largest, documented cave chamber in Iran.
