Ghassan Massoud

Ghassan Massoud ( born September 20, 1958 in Damascus ) is a Syrian actor.

Life

Massoud spent many years studying in Finland and Germany, before he returned to his native country, Syria, returned. There he studied at the Academy of Theatre Arts, where he worked as a professor for ten years.

Massoud was a founding member of the Arab- African Centre for Theatre Research, based in Tunisia.

At the same time married Massoud, who is also the father of two children, a professor working at the Theatre Academy in Damascus.

He was discovered by director Ridley Scott for his epic film Kingdom of Heaven was not until 2005, when Massoud embodied the historical figure of Saladin. The following year he played a supporting role in the Turkish film Valley of the Wolves - Iraq.

Another role embodied Massoud as Ottoman Korsarenfürst in Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End.
