Giacomo Facco

Giacomo Facco ( Jaime Faco ) ( born February 4, 1676 in Venice, † February 16, 1757 in Madrid ) was an Italian violinist, conductor and composer of the late Baroque.

Life

During the first years of his musical experience to Facco held up in Italy. In 1705 he worked as a conductor and violin soloist in Palermo, Messina in 1708. 1720 reported the Cardinal D. Carlos de Borja de Cent Elles, Archbishop of Trebisonda that Facco had a well-paid position at the Spanish court in Madrid, first as an instrumentalist ( harpsichordist, cellist and violinist ), from 1731 to 1739 as Kapellmeister. Facco was the music teacher of the Infante Don Luis (later King Ludwig I ) and Don Carlos. He spent his life in the Spanish capital.

Music at the Spanish Court was heavily influenced by Italian elements Through his work as a musician and composer.

After finding a copy of " Pensamientos Adriarmónicos " in the archives of La Paz Collegium in Mexico City explored the Italo- Mexican composer, conductor and music historian Uberto Zanolli Faccos life and work. In the ligand is located in the French National Library cantatas Faccos this also represents a sophisticated poet
