Gian Piero Reverberi

Gian Piero Reverberi, Reverberi and Gianpiero Reverberi or Giampiero, ( born July 29, 1939 in Genoa ) is an Italian composer, arranger and music producer. He was mostly known as the founder and director of the ensemble Rondo Veneziano.

Reverberi studied at the Paganini Conservatory in Genoa piano and composition. During his studies, he worked with his older brother Gian Franco Reverberi together, which was already active in the music scene and record at the time, and came into contact with the " Genoese school." At 20, he realized his first major package of La gatta Gino Paoli. Even with Luigi Tenco and Fabrizio De André, he worked together. He wrote the arrangements of all early De André albums and composed partly with him the music of the songs of the singer.

At the age of 24 years (1963 ) he wrote his first hit Se mi vuoi lasciare, sung by Michele, who had been discovered in the same year by his brother Gian Franco. In 1964 he wrote with Robert Mellin the soundtrack for the English version of the Adventure Four divider The weird and unique adventures of Robinson Crusoe of York, reported by himself, which was broadcast on ZDF. In Germany, composed together with Dario Farina music for the cult TV series Monaco Franze from 1983 to a wide audience made ​​him known. After 1968 he produced for New Trolls, Le Orme, Lucio Battisti. Artists like Caterina Valente, Paul Anka, Ricchi e Poveri and Eros Ramazzotti fell back on his compositions and arrangements.

In 1979, Gian Piero Reverberi the ensemble Rondo Veneziano, for which he writes almost all compositions and arrangements. Pieces such as La Serenissima, San Marco or Odissea Veneziana made ​​the name of the group world-famous and countless times have been covered.

Gian Piero Reverberi expanded his works, among others, by the Suite for Harmonica and Strings for Willi Burger, the 2nd Suite for Harmonica and Orchestra and the Concerto for accordion and orchestra. On behalf of the Munich Philharmonic, he composed a concerto for violin. His other works include the classic album L' Antivirtuoso with pieces and improvisations for piano, a previously unreleased Requiem as well as the composition Bach gammon for the Ecoensemble trio.
