Gianni Baget Bozzo

Gianni Baget Bozzo ( born March 8, 1925 in Savona, Liguria, † May 8, 2009 in Genoa ) was an Italian priest, theologian, politician and publicist.

Gianni Baget Bozzo was a resistance fighter in World War II, and later a priest in the Roman Catholic Church.

From 1984 to 1994 he was a member of the Italian Socialist Party ( Partito Socialista Italiano) in the European Parliament. During this time he was suspended from the priesthood because of his political and journalistic activities.

He was decisive campaign strategist of Forza Italia, the party of Silvio Berlusconi. He was hired as a publicist and taught theology at the universities of Milan and Genoa.
