Gianni Clerici

Gianni Clerici ( born July 24, 1930 in Como, Lombardy, Italy ) is an Italian tennis journalist, columnist and writer.

Life and performance

Clerici was known for his over 40 years of continuous coverage at the Tennis Grand Slam tournaments. He reported on 170 major tournaments and wrote this about 6000 with a focus on tennis. His career as a journalist began in 1956 in the Milanese newspaper Il Giorno as a reporter and columnist. In the present, he has been working since 1988 for the Roman newspaper La Repubblica and since 1960 in the weekly magazine L'espresso.
