Gianni Mascolo

Gianni Mascolo ( born November 3, 1940 in Milan ) is an Italian singer.

As a ten year old, he sang in the chorus of La Scala until his voice broke. He then came to the Milan Conservatory, where he studied piano in the tray. After performing as a singer in his home region in 1964, he received a recording contract with the label based Ariston. He was heard at various festivals, including at the Sanremo Festival in 1965 with the duet di fronte all'amore along with Dusty Springfield. He was charged in 1968 for the Swiss preselection at Euro Vision Song Contest. With the title Guardando il sole he won that and was therefore entitled to compete for Switzerland at the Euro Vision Song Contest 1968 in London. He reached there ranked 13th in 1969 appeared his last single, after he retired from the music business.
