Gibeauxiella bellaqueifontis is a butterfly (moth ) from the family of the splendor butterfly ( Cosmopterigidae ).

Features

The moths have a wingspan of 9 mm. Head and forehead ( frons ) shining yellowish white, the vertex (vertex ) is ocher white. The antennae are curled brown and cream white. The thorax shining brown and has a rear ocher stain. The tegulae are brown and ocher on the sides and rear. The forewings are brown with dark brown mixing. The center of the outermost wing base is marked with a small white spot. At 1/ 5 of the forewing length of a cream white band extending obliquely outward. You tapers and does not reach the wing inner edge. Two creamy white Costalflecke be half and in 4/ 5 of the forewing length. The first is elongated and extends from the wing center obliquely inwards to the Costa loader. The second is smaller and rounded. The vane inner edge is provided with two cream- white spots. The first is irregular and is in alignment with the first Costalflecks. The second spot is small and is located opposite the second Costalfleck. The Apex is lined with a very small ocher white spot. A small tuft projecting shed located near the wing base below the anal fold, two more opposite tufts are located on either side of the anal cleft between binding and first Costalfleck. The outer side of the first Dorsalflecks fused to a small spot ocher. In addition, the edges of the white drawing elements are mixed with some ocher scales. At the apex of the fringe scales are dark brown and pale towards the wing inner edge. They have a distinct dark brown hem line,

In the males the right brachium is nearly straight, tapering distally gradually. The left brachium tapered and pointed. The Valven are tapered and have a convex dorsal margin and a broad bulge before the middle of the ventral margin. The Valvellae are occupied significantly asymmetric and each with four or five strong bristles. The right Valvella is finger-shaped and has a rounded tip. The left Valvella is slightly club-shaped and rounded, it is only half as long as the right. Width extensions appear asymmetrically in the preparation. The left appendage is triangular, the right is narrow and short. The aedeagus is short and curved, tapering distally slightly.

The genital armature of the female is unknown.

Similar Species

The similar type Gibeauxiella reliqua missing on the front wings of the second creamy white patch on the wing inner edge, the small spot at the wing tip, the ocher drawing elements and protruding scales tuft. The hind wings are slightly darker.

Dissemination

Gibeauxiella bellaqueifontis has only been in France ( Forêt de Fontainebleau ) found.

Biology

The only specimen of this species was caught in early May, when it ( applanatum Ganoderma ) slipped from a tree fungus.
