Giebenach

Giebenach (Swiss German Gibenach ) is a municipality in the district of Liestal in the canton of Basel -Country in Switzerland.

Geography

Giebenach is located on 315 m above sea level. M. in Violental. Giebenach is accessed through the AAGL line 83 from the cantonal capital of Liestal and Augst / Pratteln and through the mail auto line 99 of Olsberg. Its neighboring municipalities are Arisdorf, Füllinsdorf, Augst and the Aargau Kaiseraugst communities and Olsberg.

History

1246 the village was first mentioned Gibennacho. The village consisted mainly of two courtyards.
