Gil Elvgren

Gilette ( Gil ) Elvgren ( born March 15, 1914 in St. Paul, Minnesota; † 29 February 1980) was an American pin-up and commercial artist.

Elvgren began studying architecture at the Minnesota Art Institute, where he stated that he was better. For this reason he moved to the American Academy of Art After completing his studies, he worked for Stevens and Gross, when he came to know the pin-up and commercial artist Haddon Sundblom. In 1937 he worked for the company Louis F. Dow, which he left in 1944 to work for Brown and Bigelow, where he earned more.

In addition to his pin-ups he has drawn, inter alia, for Coca Cola.
