Gilad Hochman

Gilad Hochman ( born July 26, 1982 in Herzliya ), is an Israeli composer who works in Berlin since 2007.

Gilad Hochman studied with the composer Gil Shohat at the Buchman - Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University. At 22 he was composer in residence at the " Ra'anana Symphonette ". The city of Ra'anana honored him in 2007., He founded and directed the " Arco String Ensemble " and the " New Sounds concert series" of "Israel Composers' League ." At age 24 he received in 2007 as the hitherto youngest Israeli "Prime Minister 's Award " for composition.

Hochman combines in his compositions, classical music training with the Jewish musical tradition and the experience of the Israeli music.

Hochman was invited in 2009 to Chorbiennale to Aachen. In November 2009 his compositions in the Mainz Academy of Music were brought to the stage. Soloists of the Bochum Symphony Orchestra conducted in April 2011 in Bochum, the chamber music work on.
