Gilbert (lunar crater)

Gilbert is an impact crater on the eastern limb of the Moon front, east of Mare Smythii, north of the crater La Pérouse and northwest of Kästner. The crater is eroded, the crater rim is overlain by smaller craters partially.

The crater was 1964 Grove Karl Gilbert and the English physician William Gilbert officially named by the IAU by the American geologists.
