Gilbert White

Gilbert White FRS ( born July 18, 1720 in Selborne, † June 26, 1793 ) was an English clergyman, naturalist and ornithologist. He remained throughout his life an unmarried Kaplan and is known for his book The Natural History and Antiquities of Selborne.
