Gilberto RodrÃguez Orejuela
Gilberto Rodríguez Orejuela ( born January 31, 1939 in Cali ), called El ajedrecista (Spanish for " the Chess Player " ) is a Colombian drug lord and led the Cali Cartel to.
In 1995 he was arrested along with his brother Miguel Rodríguez Orejuela in Cali and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Due to good behavior, and the confession of some of his crimes, the sentence was reduced to seven years.
In March 2004, Gilberto Rodríguez was to have smuggled on charges 1990 150 kilograms of cocaine into the United States, re-arrested by Colombian authorities.
