Giles Martin

Giles Martin ( born October 9, 1969) is a British music producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist. He is the son of the world famous Beatles producer George Martin.

Giles Martin grew up without him was particularly aware of the reputation of his father in connection with the Beatles. His father advised him to do, not to seek a career in the music business. However, Giles Martin first played in the commercially unsuccessful band Velvet Jones, jingles and worked on several musicals. In 1995 he produced a DVD of a concert that was given on the occasion of the golden wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II.

Greater attention was given to Giles Martin through the production of the successful British band Kula Shaker. He then produced several artists, including Jeff Beck, Elvis Costello, INXS or Kate Bush. In 2003 he produced the UK 's fastest -selling classical album of all time ( Pure by Hayley Westenra ).

Together with his father he reworked the album Love, in which were several songs of the Beatles remixed, rearranged and reassembled, where he played out his strengths in digital music production and manipulation for something more drastic changes on the album Love.
