Gillian Clark (badminton)

Gillian Margaret Clark, MBE ( born September 2, 1961 in Baghdad, Iraq ) is a former English badminton player.

After four junior titles in their home and a European Junior Championship title she won in 1982 their first European title in adults. 1984 and 1986 she defended this title in women's doubles, and then in 1988 to win the Mixed title. In doubles, it was enough in the latter year, only to silver. In 1983 she won at the World Championships bronze in the double 1993 bronze in mixed doubles. As a representative of Britain's she took with her doubles partner Julie Bradbury part in the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992 and retired from there in the quarter finals against the subsequent winners from South Korea.

Clark now works as a commentator.
