Gintautas Umaras

Gintautas UMARAS ( born May 20, 1963 in Kaunas ) is a former Lithuanian cyclist.

At the Olympic Summer Games in Seoul in 1988, he won a gold medal in the 4000 m individual pursuit and gold in the 4000 m team pursuit ( with the team of the USSR ). At the 1991 World Championships in Stuttgart, he won the gold medal in the 1000m time trial on the track, he also held the then world record in this discipline.
