Giovany A. Gonzalez ( born September 19, 1985 in Hialeah, Florida) is an American Major League Baseball pitcher who currently competes for the Washington Nationals.

Career

Gonzalez was elected Draft by the Chicago White Sox in the first round of the MLB 2004.

In November 2005, Gonzalez was traded along with Aaron Rowand and Daniel Haigwood for Jim Thome to the Philadelphia Phillies.

In December he was again traded along with Gavin Floyd for Freddy Garcia back to the Chicago White Sox.
