Giorgi Lomaia

Giorgi Lomaia (Georgian გიორგი ლომაია; born August 8, 1979 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian football player. He is 1.93 m tall and 83 kg.

The 25 -time Georgian goalkeeper started his career with Dinamo Tbilisi, where he played until 1998. 1998/99 he stood at Merani -91 Tbilisi, 1999 again at Dinamo Tbilisi, 2000-2003 at local rivals Locomotive Tbilisi, 2003-2004 Spartak Moscow and 2004 to 2005 FK Khimki under contract. He then played at sucking Energiya Vladivostok and moved from there into the winter break 2006/ 07 on the German second division side FC Carl Zeiss Jena, where he replaced Christian person as a goalkeeper, and with some great saves to secure the league. After the end of the season he left with his Georgian compatriot Mikhail Aschwetia FC Carl Zeiss Jena. He played in the 2007/ 08 season for the Ukrainian club Karpaty Lviv FK, after which he returned to Georgia back and ran again for Locomotive Tbilisi and Rustavi Olimpi.

Since 2009 Lomaia plays for FK Inter Baku in Azerbaijan.
