Giorgian De Arrascaeta

Giorgian Daniel De Benedetti Arrascaeta ( born June 1, 1994 Nuevo Berlín ) is an Uruguayan football player. The attacking midfielder is currently in Uruguay Defensor Sporting Club under contract.

Association

Born as an only child De Arrascaeta began at the age of four years playing football at Pescadores Unidos in his native city. In the U -15 he played for the club in Anglo Fray Bentos. He moved in November 2010 from Nuevo Berlín to Defensor. In 2012, he finished with the team in the Copa Libertadores Sub-20 second place. In the course of the tournament, he convinced after several substitutions and drew attention to his talent. His first competitive match at senior level, he played under coach Tabaré Silva on October 21, 2012 in a 3-1 victory over Danubio, as the 18 -year-old came on in the 62nd minute for Diego Rodríguez and his debut in the Uruguayan Primera Division came. During the season 2012/13 he was in 16 games on the court, scoring three goals. His first year as a pro he ultimately finished as runners-up behind the team Peñarols.

In the season 2012/13 he was on par to the best player of the season behind Marcelo Zalayeta and Antonio Pacheco elected during the inquiry conducted by the newspaper El Observador choice with Carlos Valdez and Maximiliano Rodríguez third best actor. National

In addition, he represents his country at U-20 level. His debut in the U -20 selection, he celebrated under coach Juan Verzeri during a friendly match against Paraguay on September 5, 2012. In 2013 he first took Uruguay participated in the U-20 South American Championship and stood there in five games on the court ( no goals ). Then he graduated from the U- 20 World Cup in Turkey, in which his team finished second behind Spain. De Arrascaeta worked with this in seven games and scored two goals. Overall, De Arrascaeta completed so far (as of July 5, 2013 ) 20 U-20 caps for Uruguay and met four times for the Celeste.
